The purpose of the book is that it will provide an efficient and swift method of dispute resolution for both the domestic as well as international investors. The United Nations Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards ("Convention") has been ratified by India on 13.7.1960. Article VII of the New York Convention Provides that the Geneva Protocol on Arbitration Clauses of 1923 and the Geneva Convention on the Execution of Foreign Arbitral Awards of 1927 ceases to have effect between the members of the New York Convention.
