About the Book

This book aims to create awareness among people about the matrimonial reliefs that exist in India and how sufficient they are when seen from a human rights perspective. The objectives of the book are to examine the status of personal laws and their historical development and to gain understanding of the matrimonial reliefs under the personal laws and secular laws in India.
