Dr. Kiran M. Subhedar joined as Scientist at CSIR-NPL form 2012 and currently working in Advanced Carbon Products Section of Advanced Materials and Devices Metrology Division, CSIR-National Physical Laboratory (CSIR-NPL). He did his postdoctoral research at Israel Institute of Technology-Technion, Israel from 2009-2012, where he worked on graphene based devices. He has also worked as visiting fellow at TIFR Mumbai form 2007-2009. He received his PhD degree in the area of superconductivity from Shivaji University, Kolhapur, India in 2007. His research interests are synthesis, characterization, and application of novel carbon materials and its related product development. His current research activities involve graphene growth by CVD technique and study the involved growth mechanism of the CVD grown graphene. Other research activities includes activated carbon, synthesis of carbon nanotubes yarn from vertically aligned carbon nanotubes grown by CVD technique for different application such as strong and light weight body armor material.
